The High Performance Program (HPP) is a complementary program providing one additional structured weekly session for high-performing players from FQPL/Kangaroo squad that wants more and looking for structured sessions who take their development seriously.
We recognize that each player is different, so we take on a personalised and customized approach for individual needs while also taking on holistic approach to player development with strong emphasis on technical excellence, standards (professionalism), individual growth and accountability.
This program is delivered on a termly basis (8-10 weeks). Players will be assessed before being accepted into the program based on character, performance/ability and commitment.
This high quality training is delivered by FFA qualified and licensed coaches and led by our Technical Director James Sangma.

Every player receives tailored support through Individual Development Plans (IDPs), match feedback, and regular monitoring to help maximise their strengths and target areas for growth both on and off the field.
Sessions are delivered by qualified and experienced HPP coaches, with strong involvement from the Technical Director to provide professional coaching, mentorship, and a clear pathway for ambitious players.
HPP provides an additional weekly high-performance session focused on technical, tactical, and athletic development in a challenging environment built for committed players who want to accelerate their progress.

The skill acquisition phase (SAP) is one of the 4 building blocks within the FFA’s football curriculum.
Players aged 9 to 12 will be in this phase. At this stage players are presented with a huge window of opportunity. ‘The Golden age of motor Development.
SAP is designed to develop technical abilities of players between the critical ages of 9 to 12. This is the age group universally acknowledged to be the optimal mental and physical phase in which children are able to learn motor skills.
SAP’s aim to provide the necessary technical ‘tools’ to be able to play the game at the highest possible level with a focus on functional game skills, with an immediate skills transfer into positioning and small-sided games being an absolute requirement.
It is based on world’s best practice and has been developed by internationally acclaimed Technical Coaches and the FFA Technical Department.
Includes different forms of striking the ball i.e short and long pass, shooting and crossing.
Controlling the ball with different surfaces and all allowed body parts.
Different ways to beat an opponent i.e body feints, step overs, jockey, etc.
Using different surfaces and techniques to dribble at pace or in tight areas including shield the ball and changing direction.

The HPP is an additional weekly training program designed for players who want to do more, want to accelerate their learning and go further.
The program is aimed at motivated FQPL/Kangaroo Squad players who demonstrate strong attitude, commitment, coachability, and a desire to improve.
No. HPP is designed to complement a player’s existing team training and games, not replace them. Players must already be participating in a team to be eligible.
Players are assessed based on character, commitment, coachability, and current performance/ability to ensure a suitable high-performance training environment for all participants.
Players can submit an Expression of Interest; however, placement is not guaranteed as spots are limited and players will be assessed before acceptance.
Once observed by our coaches, players will either get invited to join the program or provided feedback on areas to improve for future intake.
Sessions focus on technical excellence, decision-making, tactical understanding, professionalism, athletic development, and individual player growth.

The program runs weekly during the school term, with each intake delivered across an 8–10 week block (Term 2 intake is a 5-week introductory program).
All HPP sessions are held at Victoria Park.

Term 2 is $150 and includes the HPP training kit. From Term 3 onwards, the program will be $200 per term.
Players who are not yet ready may be encouraged to continue developing within their team environment and reapply for future intakes.
